Taste of Belgium

If you expect you will get a dose of high quality information on how beers are brewed or expert’s tips on what perfect beer to drink for each season, this article is definitely not for you. But if you are a medium-rare, casual drinker who can either live with or without drinking liquors, read on and we both might surprisingly agree on some points.

Let me introduce you to the beers of the Two Belgians.

From the company's name itself, you are correct, owners are Belgian and beers are perfectly brewed in Belgium.

I have not tasted their entire collection but here are my top 5 favorites:

1. Lets get ready to rumble with Lindeman's Apple

Imagine this: You are staying in on a Friday night with good burgers and swirly fries on its way to be delivered to you, your favorite tv show is playing, what’s the best option to chug these all in? A light, smooth and fruity beer to blend with the mood. This is how I see Lindeman’s Apple - A beer that is rich in apple flavor, gives that tiny kick and amazingly refreshing.

2. Steak night with Mr. Cuvee des Trolls

I know! I know! Red wine would always go best with a good steak. For me, this balanced-bitter, citrus beer would go with any steak served on the table. It is seriously good for a 7% alcohol blonde beer.

3. You will never go wrong with the Kriek

This one is another fruity beer I think made specially for girls (and maybe boys!) night out! It has a cherry, sparkling and very refreshing flavor with a small wooden hint at the end of every sip that just keeps you drinking more and more.

5. Forever with Blanche de Bruxelles

It is summer, you are having a barbecue with your family and friend; okay scratch that! Its summer and you lying on the sand facing the beach listening to the sound of waves; okay delete that! You are in your backyard with friends just having a great time, okay undo all the crossing our and put all those together, this beer is perfect for any of those occasion. It has this balance of smoothness and softness that refreshes your palate on every drink. You can treat this as your normal beverage with a good meal.

4. Whoa! For Belgian Owl

I am not a hard drinker but I have tasted several whisky and this one is one of the best. It gives you that surprise kick with a combination of light citrus, fruity and ginger taste with very smooth and delicate finish.

Whatever beers suit your palate, remember to take a sip when you do a “cheers”, take a gulp when someone remove a shirt, bottoms up when everyone in your table calls it and try that Belgian goodness!
